Our Community Global Youth Service Day Our 2011 Global Youth Service Day project was all about making someone smile. In Baltimore we selected the home of a recent heart surgery patient to makeover their yard and garden. We pulled weeds, planted flowers and made him smile. Silvia Blitzer Golombek, PH.D., the Sr. Vice President of joined us in Baltimore during our GYSD event.
In atlanta we collected and donated books!

Harvestime Swoosh A great weekend filled with helping and performing for the homeless, attending seminars, basketball tournaments, an educational tour. The fun begins with the annual Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless, (HFHH),a Thanksgiving event which takes place on Thanksgiving Day at Turner Field. Our visiting teens arrive in Atlanta on Thanksgiving morning, check into their hotel, take a minute to refresh and head to Turner Field to join our local volunteers. Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless (HFHH) serves Thanksgiving Dinner to over 15,000 homeless women, men, and children. Our teens play a major role in making this day special. Each teen is assigned a different task, from serving meals and handing out clothes to cleaning up and entertaining, they give it their all. When the day is over there is a feeling of accomplishment and compassion for those less fortunate. As a distributer, once again we are looking forward to making it a Very Merry Christmas for kids this year!
